I was wondering if anyone else runs across these unembossed look alike Buffalo lids like I do. The liner looks identicle to a
Buffalo liner without the lettering. I find these from time to time and they are a good old lid for early Ball jars. I wouldn't consider them real common
but they are out there among the many hundreds of lids I look through. Now these may not really be Buffalo lids but they are so much alike I find them as a
good replacement lid since the regular sized Buffalo lids are nearly impossible to find.

Obviously a worn out embossing and re-cut lid but it's the only one I have seen the way it is. Most all if not all lids have BALL BROS GLASS MFG CO BUFFALO N.Y. This lid is just BALL BROS GLASS CO. BUFFALO N.Y.

I have quite a few different lid variants in Clear, blue, & green. Some with BB in the center and various designs. I think I'll take pictures of them all when I get a chance and post what I have...

Nick

<a href="http://

Jeff Harper inspired me to collect as many different lid varieties as I can find. This is truly an example where a picture is worth a thousand words. Trying to
describe these varieties is difficult. The Red Book makes an attempt under listing #194.
